Access: Tokyo (shinkansen 0:53) Mishima (walk 0:13) @

Webmaster started walking from Mishima Station. The exterior of the station building is associated with a shrine building.

Soon after walking for three minutes, Webmaster arrived at Shirataki Park where spring water is welling. It’s quite curious that springs gush abundantly in the midst of urban area. The groundwater originates from rain fallen on Mt. Fuji.

The spring water flows into Sakura-gawa River,

which led Webmaster to the shrine.

After a short walk, Webmaster arrived at the torii gate of the shrine.

The approach after the tori gate

Then, Webmaster saw Somon Gate.

The approach continues.

Then, the other Shinmon Gate which is the entrance to the main area of the precincts

Finally, Webmaster was in the main area of the shrine.

After praying, Webmaster passed by a deer garden in the backyard. Those deer are considered as sacred animals here. As it was just after the meal time, the most of them sat and rested under the shade.

During this visit Webmaster also saw Doctor Yellow at Mishima Station. Doctor Yellow is a special shinkansen (bullet train) which was built for investigating the condition of the railway facilities such as the rails, overhead wires and traffic lights while running.

(The normal shinkansen has white body with blue or green line.)

There is a rumor that something good would happen when one sees Doctor Yellow as it is rarely seen. What kind of goodness will happen to me?

End.
