Webmaster enjoyed a mountain hike to Mt. Mizugaki last Sunday.
Access: Tokyo (local train 0:14) Shinjuku (express train 1:40) Nirasaki (bus 1:20) Mizugaki-sanso (walk 3:00) @
From the bus stop Mizugai-sanso, I walked up for 40 minutes to Fujimidaira Mountain Hut. As it was still early spring here on the mountain, many deciduous trees have just started to bud.
Many campers had stayed overnight there.
Then, I need to walk rocky path to the summit.
A huge rock looks down at us on the way.
Finally, I reached the rocky summit of Mt. Mizugaki.
The view from the summit.
It was clear weather. Snowcapped mountains such as Akaishi Range, Yatsugatake Range, and Okuchichibu Range, were seen.
Mt. Fuji was also seen.
Closed upped Mt. Kitadake of Akaishi Range, which is the second highest mountain in Japan and Mt. Kinpu of Okuchichibu Range which natural stone tower is eye-catching.
Please enjoy mountain hikes.
End.
