The ship to the island departs from Takeshiba Pier of Tokyo.

A high speed ship brings us to the Island for two hours.

Miharayama from an observatory near the bus stop Mihara-sanchoguchi where is on the outer rim of the caldera.

A view in the caldera. The ground is covered with lava of different ages.

A paved path (motor cars cannot enter) leads us to the crater.

An explanatory board along the path on the latest eruption in 1986. Lava flowed down from the crater.

The paths of the lava can be recognized even now.

The crater from an observatory. It was so huge that it couldn’t be put in the frame of a photo.

Now the volcano is very quiet but a few thread of vapor still comes out.

The Godzilla Rock, can you recognize it?

End.
